The select committee on public enterprises of the National Assembly postponed the activity report and the 2019 financial report of the Housing and Social Security Funding Cooperation.
Hon. Halifa Sallah, chair of the committee, said the exercise should be extended; the presentation of the GPPA compliance report is not present because they cannot convey this message for them.
“Now that we have received the activity report and the financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2019 at the end of the first phase and (we) should plan the second phase in a practical way,” he said. declared.
Hon. Sallah said that the exercise has three phases, Submission, Presentation and Consideration stage where members will review the submitted documents to gather all the facts and where it is necessary to clarify the members will raise questions to which it will be necessary to answer.
The committee presents a fair opinion on the progress of the institution by adding that
the challenge they launched was to tackle the backlog and now as they are almost at the end.
He urged the institution to stand up and help the committee avoid arrears in order to properly restore the country’s public finance situation. He said this is the most relevant thing the committee can do.
He said one of the key areas is debt owed or social security and the other thing that will be important to provide is payroll and employee roster.
